Liz Hill Public Relations: A Conversation on Moccasin Tracks, September 15, 2018

In this edition of Moccasin Tracks host Deb Reger talks with Liz Hill. She tells us about her background and experiences of her career and professional life. We also hear about producing radio and what that looks like in the preparation for broadcast. We ask her what makes "Good Radio" ? and enjoy music by Native musicians.

LIZ HILL is a public relations professional who owns her own PR agency, Liz Hill Public Relations. She dedicates the majority of her time to working for Native nations, businesses, non- profits and individuals. Liz spent many years living and working in the heart of Washington, D.C., and now lives in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. In addition to her PR work, Liz is a published author of two books, a book editor and a documentary film producer. I have gotten to know Liz as a public radio colleague. She has been Producer of “First Voices Radio” hosted by our dear friend Tiokasin Ghosthorse for the past six years. Liz was born in North Dakota, raised in north central Minnesota, and is a citizen of the Red Lake Band of Ojibwe in Minnesota. She is married to Loye [Loy] Miller. She and Loye are parents to two Shih Tzus and one Pom- Chi : Malama, Pono and Kokua.
